The sound of the breeze, whispering through the leafless trees, glided to her waiting ear…

Molten-Choco

Here’s the deal.  There are three categories of people:
1.  Those who like their hot chocolate rich (the kind that gives you an intense mustache)
2.  Those who do not like hot chocolate at all (the weirdies of the world)
3.  Those who prefer their hot chocolate made with cocoa and not sweet, thick or rich
I’m number one.  Well I’m not really; I am in the first category.  My hot chocolate is literally HOT CHOCOLATE.  Here’s the second deal: if you are in categories 2-3, please refrain from reading this as you will not enjoy my “recipe” or its final product.
To make the 4 D’s (see post title), you will need:
-Semi sweet chocolate chips
-Milk
-Coca
-White sugar
-Saucepan
-Something to stir with
-Mugs
Now you’ll need to pour about three mugs full of milk into your saucepan and begin to heat on the stove at medium heat.  You want to be able to heat the mixture but not too slowly and not too quickly.   At this point, add about 1 1/4 cups of chocolate chips.  If you want this to be a little less thick, add less.  Stir this concoction occasionally.  When the choco is melted, add about 1 1/2 tablespoons of cocoa and the same amount of sugar. MIX IT UP MAN! Stir, preferably whisk, until completely combined.  Ladle into your choice of pretty mugs and top with marshmallows and choco syrup if you so desire.  SChmumm yumm!

Would YOU Wear That?

Okay, I know this is old stuff but oh well.  It's my blog.  COME CHASE ME DOWN FASHION POLICE!  Some celebrities have really good taste in clothes/dresses etc..... others do not.  Or maybe it is just me missing the "Cover your body in meat" vibe.  But that's just Lady Gaga; she will always be the queen of unique, weird, creative? I guess.  I have been wondering lately if she cooks the meat and eats it when done wearing it.  The new--improved:  "Wear and Eat" fashion.  I raided Style.com of some party/awards/everyday movie star and celebrity photographs.

I'm not feeling the hair
I just love her...

Um..So...How's the weather?

It looks pretty on her...
Not sure about the color though

It is just SO Katy Perry!
Very fab on her

Why is she so gorgeous?
Not a bad role model either

This was a cool performance!

I love the colors of this dress
The length?
I would be so self-conscious

Glow-in-the-dark!
Not really but kind of

I would SO wear this
Interesting combination of patterns and such

I don't know about you
but
those specs are pretty beast

Not the prettiest dress I've ever seen..

This is so elegant (the woman's dress)

Classy!
Jeans, a nice heel...SUHWEET

Very interesting
I THINK I like it

You have to admit
an LBD cannot be beat

I love her hair
The dress is noice

Very sexy (in a non-weird way)
DID you see Nine?

Oh Pam!
I don't know how to spell her last name
in real life

"ONE of you will be going home.."

Nice mermaid dress
Black= Classy

Yeah I don't think i'd wear that
The top is a bit strange
nice color though

Very simple and elegant
I Like it

I tried on a BCBG dress a LOT like this
At TJMaxx
It was $90.
:(
Not bad for that brand I might add

Kyra PART ONE
In the land of peaches and pomegranites, there lived a princess who loved her garden of magical plants, giant fruit trees and rare flowers more than anything in her almost perfect world.  Princess Kyra's garden was separated into sections: some of which included the overpowering orchard, imagination imaginarium, nymph and other magical beings housing (if it could be called that) and best of all, the krypton castle.  Like most princesses, Kyra was wealthy, that is, wealthy in precious stones, metals and more, as well as a few thousand gold and silver coins. Unlike many filthily rich people, Kyra and her family of four used their money to improve the city's cleanliness and poverty problems.  Of course, they lived in a unusually large mansion themselves and did have opulent jewels and clothingwear perfect for any occasion but their four trusted house-helpers were treated with the utmost respect and equality.  The point that I am trying to get across is that the royal family was..well...different than what would be expected of a family of their class.
To be continued...

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps

Money  Never Sleeps

Michael Douglas, Shia LaBeouf and Carey Mulligan

On Thursday, I received a formal invitation from my parents to a dinner and movie night on Friday.  There was a list of movie options, those being Secretariat, Social Network, It's Kind of a Funny Story and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.  I have been wanting to see the Wall Street movie for a while, mostly because I enjoy movies with Shia LaBeouf and also because the story looked intriguing.  Turns out, I LOVED it.

The movie basically tells the story of a New York couple,) named Jacob and Winnie (Shia LaBeouf and Carey Mulligan ) and Winnie's estranged father, Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas).  I don't want to give much away because I want YOU, yes YOU to watch this film.

In the beginning, Gordon Gekko was being released from prison after an eight-year sentence for insider trading and some other illegal something I don't remember.  Just watch the movie.  Shia LaBeouf is a "Wall Street" guy and is, you could say, in the big-time money/stock business.  I mean, he's only in his mid to late twenties and already lives in a high rise in New York with expensive looking furniture, excellent views of the city and plentiful paychecks.

I am kind of at a wall because I have absolutely NO idea how to write a movie review without giving anything away. SO..... I'll make my typical list.

men. white collar. snobs. subways. competition. game. bikes. GASP! love. kisses. rich. millions. cheating. louie. jail. broken promises. empty money clip. give back. return. challenge. confusion. happiness. cracker jacks. ring. fashionable. gaudy. lie. forgive. Dad. one mobile phone. desertion.

I'm all out.

Sometimes I wonder where life will take me. The beauty of it all is that you never know what is going to happen until it does. Sometimes I wonder what I'll accomplish in life...where I'll live...who I'll marry. Don't you ever wonder about these things? I've begun so many things this year. I have met so many people. I have learned so many things. I texted someone once saying how much I love school and their reply was," don't you wish you went to school all your life instead of being homeschooled?" here's what I thought but didn't say: you're just jealous because you didn't have the same experiences that I had... Maybe yours were different but heck...I wouldn't trade mine for the world.

Be grateful for what you have. Never regret an experience. Tell yourself that you can learn from your mistakes and appreciate our adventures... Maybe I would like more in my life but for now I happy with me.

I am who I am... Who are you?

Five Weeks of School, Stress, and Soccer (plus fun, family, and friends)

Dear Readers,

It has FOR SURE been a busy five weeks...this will continue for the next four years--then it's college.  But it is nice to know that I have made it through the first month of High School.  It is going really well; my classmates are nice and I like my teachers for the most part.  I have met and made friends with so many girls too. This was something I was really excited for in school.  Soccer is also going great--our first two/three? games were rough but oh well! our team is made up of awesomeness. (OH YEAH!)  We are currently 5-3-1 (Win-Loss-Tie)  We beat a team that our school team has not beat in seven, YES SEVEN, years! Big accomplishment I'd say.

My sister has been posting "In and Out" posts on her blog so I'm going to copy (something I don't make a habit of doing, but she is my sister and all.)

Tick Tock

Time by Pink Floyd-- one of my most favorite songs...

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
Fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way

Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain
And you are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over, thought I'd something more to say

BREATHE REPRISE
Home, home again
I like to be here when I can
And when I come home cold and tired
It’s good to warm my bones beside the fire
Far away across the field
The tolling of the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spells.

Ice Cold Peach Lemonade

It was one of those days where it was really hot and you just need something cold to sustain and chill you...I had made Nora some peach lemonade recently and she really liked it. It sounded good. I was craving it.

4 SERVINGS, OR SO
You'll need:

1 peach
2 lemons
3-4 T. sugar (white or brown)
1/2 c. water
2-3 handfuls of ice cubes

Blender
Lemon squeezer
Mesh strainer
Glasses (the kind you drink out of)
Ice cubes

First you'll want to squeeze the 2 lemons and pour the juice through the strainer to remove the seeds.  You can put the pulp back in with the juice but make sure the seeds are G.O.N.E.  Then, you can put the lemon stuff in the blender with the water. Don't forget the sugar!  You'll want to add it, depending on how sweet you like your beverages. I personally think that adding brown sugar brings out the peach flavor and sweetness and adds a molasses-ee taste. Yum!   Then add your ice cubes and use the ice cube slushifying setting or pulse on your blender.  The consistency should be like a lemon slush...which is exactly what it is.  Before I put my peaches in with the slush, I cubed them.  This is an unnecessary step.  But cubing peaches is just too fun to skip! I'm positive that you agree with me on that one..HAHA.  Blend until smooth, the peach skin will show, but DO NOT FEAR.  I am HERE to tell you that this is OK.  Now, taste your concoction.  Need more sugar to appeal to you taste buds? Add more.  More water? Add water.  My Ingredient list was how I like it. However, I may have added more water.  I cannot remember.
Serve your drinks in tall glasses with the large wet squares we here call ice cubes.  Why large? They won't melt fast.  However, it is best to drink your peach lemonade when you pour it.  No, you do not have to gulp it down in a matter of seconds but it separates and the melted ice, now water, travels to the bottom of the glass leaving a drink parfait.  Negative.

Enjoy!

I was on Facebook and saw that one of my friends had posted a certain quote on their status or wall or whatever it's called.. anyway, I thought it was pretty sweet.

"You pile up enough tomorrows, and you'll find that all you have left are empty yesterdays."

I'm still not exactly sure what it means...

We Are The World 25 for Haiti

Watch "We Are The World 25 for Haiti" in my video bar to the right... It should be the first video.  Simple click, sit back and enjoy the song.  There is another video called something like "We Are the World 57 for Haiti."  The artists are unknown but just as talented as the superstars. It made me feel.. well, I don't know how to describe it.  Kind of like I felt an invisible presence.  A happy one.  It was strange.  Powerful.

[Justin Bieber]
There comes a time
When we heed a certain call
[Nicole Scherzinger & Jennifer Hudson]
When the world must come together as one
[Jennifer Hudson]
There are people dying
[Jennifer Nettles]
And it’s time to lend a hand to life
The greatest gift of all
[Josh Groban]
We can’t go on
Pretending day by day
[Tony Bennet]
that someone, somehow will soon make a change
[Mary J Blige]
We are all a part of
God’s great big family
And the truth, you know love is all we need
[Chorus]
[Michael Jackson]
We are the world
We are the children
[Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson]
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let’s start giving
[Barbra Streisand]
There’s a choice we’re making
We’re saving our own lives
It’s true we’ll make a better day
Just you and me
[Miley Cyrus]
Send them your heart
So they’ll know that someone cares
[Enrique Iglesias]
so their cries for help
will not be in vain
[Nicole Scherzinger]
We can’t let them suffer
no we cannot turn away
[Jamie Foxx]
Right now they need a helping hand
[Wyclef Jean]
Nou se mond la
We are the Children
[Adam Levine]
We are the ones who make a brighter day
so lets start giving
[Pink]
There’s a choice we’re making
We’re saving our own lives
[BeBe Winans]
It’s true we’ll make a better day
Just you and me
[Michael Jackson]
When you’re down and out
There seems no hope at all
[Usher]
But if you just believe
There’s no way we can fall
[Celine Dion]
Well, well, well, well, let us realize
That a change can only come
[Fergie]
When we stand together as one
[Chorus - All]
We are the world
We are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let’s start giving
[Nick Jonas]
Got to start giving
[All]
There’s a choice we’re making
We’re saving our own lives
[Toni Braxton]
It’s true we’ll make a better day
Just you and me
[Mary Mary]
We are the world
We are the children
[Tony Bennet]
Its for the children
[Isaac Slade]
We are the ones who make a brighter day
[Toni Braxton]
So lets start giving
[Lil Wayne]
There’s a choice we’re making
We’re saving our own lives
It’s true we’ll make a better day
Just you and me
[Chorus - All]
We are the world
We are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let’s start giving
[Akon]
There’s a choice we’re making
We’re saving our own lives
It’s true we make a better day
Just you and me
[T-Pain]
We are the world
We are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let’s start giving
[Jamie Foxx imitating Ray Charles]
Choice were making
saving our own lives
It’s true we’ll make a better day
Just you and me
[Rapping - LL Cool J, Will-I-Am, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Swizz Beatz]
We all need somebody that we can lean on
when you wake up look around and see that your dreams gone
when the earth quakes we’ll help you make it through the storm
when the floor breaks a magic carpet to stand on
we are the World united by love so strong
when the radio isn’t on you can hear the songs
a guided light on the dark road your walking on
a sign post to find the dreams you thought was gone
someone to help you move the obstacles you stumbled on
someone to help you rebuild after the rubble’s gone
we are the World connected by a common bond
lyrics courtesy of www.killerhiphop.com
Love the whole planet sing it along
[Wyclef]

[Kanye West]
Uh, 12 days no water
whats your will to live?
[Will-I-Am]
we amplified the love we watching multiply
[Kanye West]
Feeling like the Worlds end
we can make the World win
[Will-I-Am]
Like Katrina, Africa, Indonesia
and now Haiti needs us, the need us, they need us
[Chorus - All]
[Wyclef Jean]

Most Fragrant Flower...EVER!

The Gardenia shines brightly in the cool, quiet morning
Her petals shine with the early dew.
Buds have presented their gifts in the nighttime--
Mother Nature opening the closed green parcels
When no one was there to peek.

I step down the stairs, burying my head in the plant,
Smelling the fragrant white petals,
Being careful not to touch the delicate petals
For fear they will turn caramel-colored.

Gardenias in day,
Gardenias in night,
Gardenias are soft,
Gardenias are white.
